1. A massage...
…that never ends. As Irish dancers, we’re big fans of stretching our sore muscles and we even secretly like sports massages. Invest in a foam roller so you can get out the kinks on your own after EVERY tough practice.
2. A new bra – Sports bra that is.
Lingerie is a huge hit for Valentine’s day, but as an Irish dancer we get A LOT more use out of our sports bras than we do our lacey ones. Build up your stash this holiday, and maybe you’ll even get an added bonus of doing less laundry!
A picture perfect Valentines day probably includes a room full of candles and twinkle lights in your head, but spending Valentine’s day at your studio doesn’t mean you can’t create the same atmosphere when you get home. Aromatherapy candles are great to help you with many issues from stress to lack of sleep. Do a little research and see what scent will work best for you.
4. Skin Care
Valentine’s day is known as a day of pampering, so what better time is there to invest in the skin care products you’ve had your eye on for months? It’s no secret sweating in make-up is bad for you, but as Irish dancers it’s something we do on a weekly basis. Take this opportunity to splurge on yourself! Believe us, your skin will thank you after every feis.
Another Valentine’s day classic, but we’re not talking about the kind you think. A better choice for Irish dancers than the cheap box from CVS would be chocolate in the form of protein. Splurge on your favorite protein bars or try a new protein powder to celebrate. The best part is you won’t even feel gross after!
